Those who follow what i get up to in the real world will be aware that i have tended to eschew the online clicktivism a bit of late in favour of trying to get a few things changed. Like policy on names, or LGBT asylum or, a lot this year, the madness that is online blocking.
Earlier this year i arranged a meeting with a range of minority groups who were fearful of being blocked – as well as representatives from ISP’s and the mobile broadband industry.
And now – well, now, twould appear, i am BEING BLOCKED!!!
You could not make this up.
For thoswe who want to know about whether a particular site is being blocked – and if so, by whom – there is a useful service out there called Blocked!
A couple of Facebook friends contacted me earlier today to say that my main blog site had been blocked – by TalkTalk, no less – and on checking, so it appears.
Indeed, TalkTalk appear not just to be blocking my olod blog, but the new one too, in which i talk about my meeting with the online industry to discuss blocking.
Below are some screencaps to back this up.
Apologies in advance if it turns out that Blocked! somehow got it wrong. Meanwhile, i am off to ask TalkTalk why they are blocking me.
I do hope its not the T-word…
